Travel Insurance Snowboarding
travel insurance required/essential or just a scare?
hi.
i am going to france on a snowboarding trip with the lads. one of them suggested to buy travel insurance. now, looking into this, it confused the hell out of me (being foreign helps to get confused
.
i am with the nhs and have a european health insurance card. then reading about the possible costs of an accident of “easily well over £25000″.
am i not covered by the nhs anyway or will i really have to pay for treatments abroad?
so far i am unsure of having a travel insurance for medical reasons.
can anybody bring light into my the dark please?
my question is purely on the need of travel insurance in respect of medical reasons. everything else is clear to me…
i would appreciate if your answers are factually based, not common sense. common sense brought me here ![]()
thanks
niels
I never leave the country without it, but I don’t always buy the cadillac of plans either. There’s so much that can happen from delays, defaults, your illnesses before or during the trip, etc… It’s not that expensive that it should be avoided.
